VideoEye has received many wonderful complements and letters over the years. The following is just a small sample. All the following comments are real, and have only been edited for space. We have withheld full names simply to protect the privacy of the individuals.
The important purpose is to demonstrate the increased quality of life which is often achieved by those with low vision using video magnification. Additionally, it is often not possible to predict which people can be helped and which cannot. This highlights the importance of encouraging those with low vision to at least use a VideoEye for a trial period.

Letter received from daughter of a VE customer: Hi Kim, Thank you so much for your and Keith's help today in resetting my mom's VideoEye. Your staff is always so kind and helpful. I purchased the Video Eye for my mom, who is suffering from Macular Degeneration. When I bought it, she liked it and used it secretively, not wanting to admit to anyone that she couldn't see. Now, 18 months later, mom can't live without her VideoEye. Her vision has severely declined and the VideoEye is her only connection to seeing pictures and some writing. At the time of my purchase, I hesitated at spending that much money. Now, I'm so glad I decided to buy it. No amount of money can replace my delight when I watch her in front of her monitor while looking at pictures of her many grand, great-grand and great-great grandchildren. She recently went to visit my brother and after 2 weeks, wanted to come home. She didn't miss me, she missed her Video Eye. Thank you so much for making such a quality product that gives so much freedom and joy to my mom. She's 85 and without the VideoEye, she would have missed 2 years of seeing.

Daughter is calling to see if mother had warranty on system. She died April 5th and the family plans to sell it. She said the VE was running strong, never had a problem with it. She said it made all the difference in the world. Mother was able to go to bible study and was able to read her bible. She had an office and not only read everything but also sewed and painted her nails with the VE. She was a retired university professor. Daughter said the VE was amazing. It was a really good unit that brought so much to her life. It was a lifesaver and added to the quality of her life.

Erwin likes the Side Kick, he has no questions, he said he thinks the table design is wonderful and that is why he bought it. He had seen the previous model and said he hesitated to buyit because he didn't want to put it on any of his tables. But he really likes the Side Kick.

Kim (VE Customer Service)  Mr. H. called back to say he loves the new PZ. He is very, very happy with it. He just had one question. He thought maybe the black print was a little blacker actually with the MVE, his old one. I suggested he try to make sure the PZ head was 11 inches up over the reading material. He readjusted it and that solved it. He said to thank the whole company for great service, speed at doing everything we said we would, and God bless all of us, he's very happy, and he said to tell the president he would give us a good recommendation to anyone. He gave his old MVE to the maintenance men in the building to look at blueprints and they are thrilled with it. Very cheerful man even though he has many more health problems now too.

Called and spoke with Mr. S.

“I'm telling you. I am so grateful to you. I can read the paper and the daily racing form." He was so thrilled because he had observed many other types of equipment "that claimed to be our competitors" but he was unimpressed. When he went through our literature he was so impressed. He waited to order until after the holidays to avoid any shipping hassles or damage to the shipment in all the rush. When he got his equipment, he read the user's manual first. He did not put it up until he had read the manual. He said that our instructions were brief and concise and very adequate. It took him about 15 minutes to set it up. He spent all day on it and loves it. He is using it even now "I want to say to all of your people that you have done a splendid job." I told him that I would pass that on.

The guys from the Lions club came over and "very easily" got it set up for him. "It is just wonderful. I am so pleased. Sunday I spent 4 hours reading the newspaper for the first time in I don't know how long." "And for the first time in a very lone time I could read the articles in my magazine". Feels VE is an absolute Godsend. Able to write music again due to this, her publisher's are so thrilled. Kim is on the line, but I will e-mail her and let know how happy her customer is. Teased about how wrinkled her hands are when puts under the camera. Has not tried mirror. Has written 12 manuscripts. Was out of the business for close to 10 years and now is back in all because of the VE. Writes choir music. They still put up with her writing in pencil and paper because cannot see the computer. I told her about zoom text because she wanted to know if we made a computer magnifying product. Asked if the person who designed this is still here? Yes, owner. I get so mad at my VideoEye and then I apologize to it. I have a number of friends who have in the last year or so developed the same problem I have and no mater how often I tell them that it is my lifeline to sanity, they just don’t order one. Obviously, it has limitations (I want to read a whole page at once) but I really can’t imagine being without it. Just to be able to read the mail - and unfortunately, the bills - to write checks, to try new recipes and so many other things…. I really love my wonderful toy. If you come up with something better, please let me know.

A note to thank your for a great product. My cousin bought one for my mother, and she is so excited she can read again. All the doctors had told her she was doomed for the rest of her life, not being able to see well enough to do any of the things she enjoyed. Well NO MORE. “Life in our Assisted Living Units is good, and generally nothing much really exciting takes place, at least not very often. And the residents seem to like it that way. But ever since the VideoEye was installed in the library at RiverWoods, everyone is a-buzz! A retired pastor has 'claimed' the 5am hour for his morning devotions. He says he has not been able to read his own Bible for years, and now he can again!
